You Know The One!
You're at the yard, the horse is in, the tack is right there. And that voice pipes up.
"It's a bit windy. Just lunge him today."
"What if he spooks at the bins?"
"You used to be good at this."
So you groom, you poo pick, you go home. And then you lie awake going over it all again.
If that's you, I hear you. You are not broken, and you haven't forgotten how to ride. That inner voice has just grabbed a megaphone.
So let's turn it down.
Quieten The Noise
Live online workshop
Wednesday 21 October, 7pm
On Google Meet, from your own sofa
What it is
About 90 minutes with me, live, where I'll show you why your brain does this and teach you simple tools to quieten it. We'll practise each one together on the night, so you're not just listening; you're doing.
Who it's for
This is for you if:
-
You go over and over things. The fall, the near miss, the "what ifs".
-
You've got a critical voice that's never got anything nice to say about your riding.
-
You still go to the yard, but you keep finding reasons not to get on.
-
Riding has started to feel like pressure instead of fun, and it all feels a bit too much.
You don't need to have come to the last workshop (Stop Anxiety, Enjoy Riding). This one stands on its own.
What you'll leave with
-
An understanding of why your brain throws these thoughts at you. It's trying to keep you safe, and that changes how you feel about it.
-
A way to turn that critical voice down, and even make it a bit silly, so it stops running the show.
-
A way to swap that knot of dread for a feeling you'd much rather have.
-
A simple tapping routine for the moments you're too wound up to think.
-
Your own core values written down, so decisions get easier and the overwhelm eases off.
-
A little trick for the "I'll just lunge him today" moment.
You'll also get a workbook to keep, so you can use the tools again at home and at the yard.
One more thing
Everything we do is private. You won't be asked to share anything personal, and nobody will put you on the spot. Camera on or off, whatever suits you.
It's £35, and you can book your place here:
No rush, no pressure, just one step at a time. But if that voice has been getting louder lately, come and join me.
P.S. One rider who came to last month’s workshop had this to say -
